A Wish

I wish the almighty for a moment with thee,
A moment ineffable
That captures thy soul and knits thee in the garland of my love forever.

I wish the almighty for my life with thee,
For thy soul till the end of my last breath
That even when my sight fades, it fades with thy sight.

I ask the supreme lord to fulfill a wish today.
A wish to render my soul unbounded happiness.
A wish to cherish the dawn with thee.
A wish to live with thee till the dusk of life. 

Time Ticks

As the hour clock ticks away,
I beseech every moment to stay,
For this place, i will relish no more.

Time runs slow and steady, yet so fast,
Challenges my vigor for a moment, as I brood over my past.
I relinquish this place with tears to move on with the ticks,
For my blood will embosom me no more.

Life's but a walking shadow in light and dark in the dark,
That has no recourse but to act with the beat.
I sit here on this rocking chair speculating,
For the clock has called the hour and my voice will be heard no more.
